Commen weapons were spears, shields.
The thanes used swords.
Spears- a spear was made with a seven foot long ash shaft, with apionted iorn tip.
Shields- shields were made out of a circular piece of wood covered in leather, weith an iron boss in the center.
Swords- about thirty inches long, the sword was made of iorn it had steel edges. The top of the sword was called a hilt and was elebrotly carved and jeweld and sometimes had good luck symbols on it.
The weapons of the Anglo Saxons were not as sophistacated as the vikings, and thye Anglo Saxons were almost always under attack

Transportation
The rich thanes rode horses people just walked. This is why the Anglo Saxons were always under attack of the vikings.
